Esteemed colleagues,

It is my honor and pleasure to invite you to the 12th Croatian Congress on Urogenital and Sexually Transmitted Infections with International Participation which will be held in Zagreb, at the Academia Hotel, from May 9th to May 11th, 2024.

With its longstanding tradition, the congress stands out for its interdisciplinary approach to the complex topic of urogenital and sexually transmitted infections. As one of the leading causes of acute illnesses, chronic health impairments, and mortality, with possible severe medical and psychological consequences for millions of women, men, and infants, urogenital and sexually transmitted infections are among the most common infectious diseases in the world and represent a significant public health problem in the field of sexual and reproductive health.

The aim of the congress is to provide an overview of interesting and current scientific insights into the clinical, epidemiological, microbiological, and immunological aspects of urogenital and sexually transmitted infections, with a special emphasis on treatment and diagnosis, preventive measures, screening programs, the presentation of new diagnostic technologies, and vaccine application. The role of the media in proper education of young people about urogenital and sexually transmitted infections will be particularly highlighted at the congress, as well as the presentation of the latest national and international diagnostic and therapeutic guidelines.

We invite all colleagues, physicians from various specialties, scientists engaged in research on urogenital and sexually transmitted infections, and all other experts interested in this topic, to contribute to the success of the congress by their presence and active participation, aiming for the exchange of past experiences and professional and scientific insights.
